Transformer-based entropy models have gained prominence in recent years due to their superior ability to capture long-range dependencies in probability distribution estimation compared to convolution-based methods. However, previous transformer-based entropy models suffer from a sluggish coding process due to pixel-wise autoregression or duplicated computation during inference. In this paper, we propose a novel transformer-based entropy model called GroupedMixer, which enjoys both faster coding speed and better compression performance than previous transformer-based methods. Specifically, our approach builds upon group-wise autoregression by first partitioning the latent variables into groups along spatial-channel dimensions, and then entropy coding the groups with the proposed transformer-based entropy model. The global causal self-attention is decomposed into more efficient group-wise interactions, implemented using inner-group and cross-group token-mixers. The inner-group token-mixer incorporates contextual elements within a group while the cross-group token-mixer interacts with previously decoded groups. Alternate arrangement of two token-mixers enables global contextual reference. To further expedite the network inference, we introduce context cache optimization to GroupedMixer, which caches attention activation values in cross-group token-mixers and avoids complex and duplicated computation. This paper discusses the results of the third edition of the Monocular Depth Estimation Challenge (MDEC). The challenge focuses on zero-shot generalization to the challenging SYNS-Patches dataset, featuring complex scenes in natural and indoor settings. As with the previous edition, methods can use any form of supervision, i.e. supervised or self-supervised. The challenge received a total of 19 submissions outperforming the baseline on the test set: 10 among them submitted a report describing their approach, highlighting a diffused use of foundational models such as Depth Anything at the core of their method. Neural Radiance Field (NeRF) technology has made significant strides in creating novel viewpoints. However, its effectiveness is hampered when working with sparsely available views, often leading to performance dips due to overfitting. FreeNeRF attempts to overcome this limitation by integrating implicit geometry regularization, which incrementally improves both geometry and textures. Nonetheless, an initial low positional encoding bandwidth results in the exclusion of high-frequency elements. The quest for a holistic approach that simultaneously addresses overfitting and the preservation of high-frequency details remains ongoing. This study introduces a novel feature matching based sparse geometry regularization module. This module excels in pinpointing high-frequency keypoints, thereby safeguarding the integrity of fine details. Through progressive refinement of geometry and textures across NeRF iterations, we unveil an effective few-shot neural rendering architecture, designated as SGCNeRF, for enhanced novel view synthesis. Our experiments demonstrate that SGCNeRF not only achieves superior geometry-consistent outcomes but also surpasses FreeNeRF, with improvements of 0.7 dB and 0.6 dB in PSNR on the LLFF and DTU datasets, respectively.

Recent advances in self-supervised learning, predominantly studied in high-level visual tasks, have been explored in low-level image processing. This paper introduces a novel self-supervised constraint for single image super-resolution, termed SSC-SR. SSC-SR uniquely addresses the divergence in image complexity by employing a dual asymmetric paradigm and a target model updated via exponential moving average to enhance stability. The proposed SSC-SR framework works as a plug-and-play paradigm and can be easily applied to existing SR models. Empirical evaluations reveal that our SSC-SR framework delivers substantial enhancements on a variety of benchmark datasets, achieving an average increase of 0.1 dB over EDSR and 0.06 dB over SwinIR. Monocular depth estimation is a crucial task in computer vision. While existing methods have shown impressive results under standard conditions, they often face challenges in reliably performing in scenarios such as low-light or rainy conditions due to the absence of diverse training data. This paper introduces a novel approach named Stealing Stable Diffusion (SSD) prior for robust monocular depth estimation. The approach addresses this limitation by utilizing stable diffusion to generate synthetic images that mimic challenging conditions. Additionally, a self-training mechanism is introduced to enhance the model's depth estimation capability in such challenging environments. To enhance the utilization of the stable diffusion prior further, the DINOv2 encoder is integrated into the depth model architecture, enabling the model to leverage rich semantic priors and improve its scene understanding. Furthermore, a teacher loss is introduced to guide the student models in acquiring meaningful knowledge independently, thus reducing their dependency on the teacher models. The effectiveness of the approach is evaluated on nuScenes and Oxford RobotCar, two challenging public datasets, with the results showing the efficacy of the method. Sampling is widely used in various point cloud tasks as it can effectively reduce resource consumption. Recently, some methods have proposed utilizing neural networks to optimize the sampling process for various task requirements. Currently, deep downsampling methods can be categorized into two main types: generative-based and score-based. Generative-based methods directly generate sampled point clouds using networks, whereas score-based methods assess the importance of points according to specific rules and then select sampled point clouds based on their scores. However, these methods often result in noticeable clustering effects in high-intensity feature areas, compromising their ability to preserve small-scale features and leading to the loss of some structures, thereby affecting the performance of subsequent tasks. In this paper, we propose REPS, a reconstruction-based scoring strategy that evaluates the importance of each vertex by removing and reconstructing them using surrounding vertices. Our reconstruction process comprises point reconstruction and shape reconstruction. The two aforementioned reconstruction methods effectively evaluate the importance of vertices by removing them at different scales for reconstruction. These reconstructions ensure that our method maintains the overall geometric features of the point cloud and avoids disturbing small-scale structures during sampling. Additionally, we propose the Global-Local Fusion Attention (GLFA) module, which aggregates local and global attention features of point clouds, ensuring high-quality reconstruction and sampling effects. Our method outperforms previous approaches in preserving the structural features of the sampled point clouds. This technical report presents our solution, "occTransformer" for the 3D occupancy prediction track in the autonomous driving challenge at CVPR 2023. Our method builds upon the strong baseline BEVFormer and improves its performance through several simple yet effective techniques. Firstly, we employed data augmentation to increase the diversity of the training data and improve the model's generalization ability. Secondly, we used a strong image backbone to extract more informative features from the input data. Thirdly, we incorporated a 3D unet head to better capture the spatial information of the scene. Fourthly, we added more loss functions to better optimize the model. Additionally, we used an ensemble approach with the occ model BevDet and SurroundOcc to further improve the performance. Most importantly, we integrated 3D detection model StreamPETR to enhance the model's ability to detect objects in the scene. Depression Recognition (DR) poses a considerable challenge, especially in the context of the growing concerns surrounding privacy. Traditional automatic diagnosis of DR technology necessitates the use of facial images, undoubtedly expose the patient identity features and poses privacy risks. In order to mitigate the potential risks associated with the inappropriate disclosure of patient facial images, we design a new imaging system to erase the identity information of captured facial images while retain disease-relevant features. It is irreversible for identity information recovery while preserving essential disease-related characteristics necessary for accurate DR. More specifically, we try to record a de-identified facial image (erasing the identifiable features as much as possible) by a learnable lens, which is optimized in conjunction with the following DR task as well as a range of face analysis related auxiliary tasks in an end-to-end manner. These aforementioned strategies form our final Optical deep Depression Recognition network (OpticalDR). Experiments on CelebA, AVEC 2013, and AVEC 2014 datasets demonstrate that our OpticalDR has achieved state-of-the-art privacy protection performance with an average AUC of 0.51 on popular facial recognition models, and competitive results for DR with MAE/RMSE of 7.53/8.48 on AVEC 2013 and 7.89/8.82 on AVEC 2014, respectively., Comment: Accepted by CVPR 2024

Monocular depth estimation from RGB images plays a pivotal role in 3D vision. However, its accuracy can deteriorate in challenging environments such as nighttime or adverse weather conditions. While long-wave infrared cameras offer stable imaging in such challenging conditions, they are inherently low-resolution, lacking rich texture and semantics as delivered by the RGB image. Current methods focus solely on a single modality due to the difficulties to identify and integrate faithful depth cues from both sources. To address these issues, this paper presents a novel approach that identifies and integrates dominant cross-modality depth features with a learning-based framework. Concretely, we independently compute the coarse depth maps with separate networks by fully utilizing the individual depth cues from each modality. As the advantageous depth spreads across both modalities, we propose a novel confidence loss steering a confidence predictor network to yield a confidence map specifying latent potential depth areas. With the resulting confidence map, we propose a multi-modal fusion network that fuses the final depth in an end-to-end manner. Harnessing the proposed pipeline, our method demonstrates the ability of robust depth estimation in a variety of difficult scenarios. Experimental results on the challenging MS$^2$ and ViViD++ datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of our method.

Depth estimation is a critical technology in autonomous driving, and multi-camera systems are often used to achieve a 360$^\circ$ perception. These 360$^\circ$ camera sets often have limited or low-quality overlap regions, making multi-view stereo methods infeasible for the entire image. Alternatively, monocular methods may not produce consistent cross-view predictions. To address these issues, we propose the Stereo Guided Depth Estimation (SGDE) method, which enhances depth estimation of the full image by explicitly utilizing multi-view stereo results on the overlap. We suggest building virtual pinhole cameras to resolve the distortion problem of fisheye cameras and unify the processing for the two types of 360$^\circ$ cameras. For handling the varying noise on camera poses caused by unstable movement, the approach employs a self-calibration method to obtain highly accurate relative poses of the adjacent cameras with minor overlap. These enable the use of robust stereo methods to obtain high-quality depth prior in the overlap region. This prior serves not only as an additional input but also as pseudo-labels that enhance the accuracy of depth estimation methods and improve cross-view prediction consistency. The effectiveness of SGDE is evaluated on one fisheye camera dataset, Synthetic Urban, and two pinhole camera datasets, DDAD and nuScenes. Our experiments demonstrate that SGDE is effective for both supervised and self-supervised depth estimation, and highlight the potential of our method for advancing downstream autonomous driving technologies, such as 3D object detection and occupancy prediction.

Recent years have witnessed remarkable advances in artificial intelligence generated content(AIGC), with diverse input modalities, e.g., text, image, video, audio and 3D. The 3D is the most close visual modality to real-world 3D environment and carries enormous knowledge. The 3D content generation shows both academic and practical values while also presenting formidable technical challenges. This review aims to consolidate developments within the burgeoning domain of 3D content generation. Specifically, a new taxonomy is proposed that categorizes existing approaches into three types: 3D native generative methods, 2D prior-based 3D generative methods, and hybrid 3D generative methods. The survey covers approximately 60 papers spanning the major techniques. Besides, we discuss limitations of current 3D content generation techniques, and point out open challenges as well as promising directions for future work. Recent advancements in neural compression have surpassed traditional codecs in PSNR and MS-SSIM measurements. However, at low bit-rates, these methods can introduce visually displeasing artifacts, such as blurring, color shifting, and texture loss, thereby compromising perceptual quality of images. To address these issues, this study presents an enhanced neural compression method designed for optimal visual fidelity. We have trained our model with a sophisticated semantic ensemble loss, integrating Charbonnier loss, perceptual loss, style loss, and a non-binary adversarial loss, to enhance the perceptual quality of image reconstructions. Additionally, we have implemented a latent refinement process to generate content-aware latent codes. These codes adhere to bit-rate constraints, balance the trade-off between distortion and fidelity, and prioritize bit allocation to regions of greater importance. Our empirical findings demonstrate that this approach significantly improves the statistical fidelity of neural image compression. Deep learning systems are prone to catastrophic forgetting when learning from a sequence of tasks, where old data from experienced tasks is unavailable when learning from a new task. To mitigate the problem, a line of methods propose to replay the data of experienced tasks when learning new tasks. These methods usually adopt an extra memory to store the data for replay. However, it is not expected in practice considering the memory constraint or data privacy issue. As a replacement, data-free data replay methods are proposed by inverting samples from the classification model. Though achieving good results, these methods still suffer from the inconsistency of the inverted and real training data, which is neglected in the inversion stage in recent works. To that effect, we propose to measure the data consistency quantitatively by some simplification and assumptions. Using the measurement, we analyze existing techniques for inverting samples and get some insightful information that inspires a novel loss function to reduce the inconsistency. Specifically, the loss minimizes the KL divergence of the distributions of inverted and real data under the tied multivariate Gaussian assumption, which is easy to implement in continual learning. In addition, we observe that the norms of old class weights turn to decrease continually as learning progresses. We thus analyze the underlying reasons and propose a simple regularization term to balance the class weights so that the samples of old classes are more distinguishable. To conclude, we propose the Consistency enhanced data replay with debiased classifier for Class Incremental Learning (CCIL). Extensive experiments on CIFAR-100, Tiny-ImageNet, and ImageNet100 show consistently improved performance of CCIL compared to previous approaches.

The goal of Arbitrary Style Transfer (AST) is injecting the artistic features of a style reference into a given image/video. Existing methods usually focus on pursuing the balance between style and content, whereas ignoring the significant demand for flexible and customized stylization results and thereby limiting their practical application. To address this critical issue, a novel AST approach namely HiCAST is proposed, which is capable of explicitly customizing the stylization results according to various source of semantic clues. In the specific, our model is constructed based on Latent Diffusion Model (LDM) and elaborately designed to absorb content and style instance as conditions of LDM. It is characterized by introducing of \textit{Style Adapter}, which allows user to flexibly manipulate the output results by aligning multi-level style information and intrinsic knowledge in LDM. Lastly, we further extend our model to perform video AST. A novel learning objective is leveraged for video diffusion model training, which significantly improve cross-frame temporal consistency in the premise of maintaining stylization strength. Qualitative and quantitative comparisons as well as comprehensive user studies demonstrate that our HiCAST outperforms the existing SoTA methods in generating visually plausible stylization results.

Recent progress in single-image super-resolution (SISR) has achieved remarkable performance, yet the computational costs of these methods remain a challenge for deployment on resource-constrained devices. Especially for transformer-based methods, the self-attention mechanism in such models brings great breakthroughs while incurring substantial computational costs. To tackle this issue, we introduce the Convolutional Transformer layer (ConvFormer) and the ConvFormer-based Super-Resolution network (CFSR), which offer an effective and efficient solution for lightweight image super-resolution tasks. In detail, CFSR leverages the large kernel convolution as the feature mixer to replace the self-attention module, efficiently modeling long-range dependencies and extensive receptive fields with a slight computational cost. Furthermore, we propose an edge-preserving feed-forward network, simplified as EFN, to obtain local feature aggregation and simultaneously preserve more high-frequency information. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CFSR can achieve an advanced trade-off between computational cost and performance when compared to existing lightweight SR methods. Compared to state-of-the-art methods, e.g. ShuffleMixer, the proposed CFSR achieves 0.39 dB gains on Urban100 dataset for x2 SR task while containing 26% and 31% fewer parameters and FLOPs, respectively. Recent works have studied implicit biases in deep learning, especially the behavior of last-layer features and classifier weights. However, they usually need to simplify the intermediate dynamics under gradient flow or gradient descent due to the intractability of loss functions and model architectures. In this paper, we introduce the unhinged loss, a concise loss function, that offers more mathematical opportunities to analyze the closed-form dynamics while requiring as few simplifications or assumptions as possible. The unhinged loss allows for considering more practical techniques, such as time-vary learning rates and feature normalization. Based on the layer-peeled model that views last-layer features as free optimization variables, we conduct a thorough analysis in the unconstrained, regularized, and spherical constrained cases, as well as the case where the neural tangent kernel remains invariant. To bridge the performance of the unhinged loss to that of Cross-Entropy (CE), we investigate the scenario of fixing classifier weights with a specific structure, (e.g., a simplex equiangular tight frame). Our analysis shows that these dynamics converge exponentially fast to a solution depending on the initialization of features and classifier weights. These theoretical results not only offer valuable insights, including explicit feature regularization and rescaled learning rates for enhancing practical training with the unhinged loss, but also extend their applicability to other loss functions. This paper presents a summary of the Competition on Face Presentation Attack Detection Based on Privacy-aware Synthetic Training Data (SynFacePAD 2023) held at the 2023 International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 2023). The competition attracted a total of 8 participating teams with valid submissions from academia and industry. The competition aimed to motivate and attract solutions that target detecting face presentation attacks while considering synthetic-based training data motivated by privacy, legal and ethical concerns associated with personal data. To achieve that, the training data used by the participants was limited to synthetic data provided by the organizers. We investigate anisotropic quark stars within the context of energy-momentum squared gravity (EMSG), assuming the internal composition consists of homogeneous, charge-neutral 3-flavor interacting quark matter with ${\cal O}(m_s^4)$ corrections. We performed numerical calculations of the equation of state (EoS) and the modified Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) structure equation. Additionally, we discussed the impact of the GB coupling parameter $\alpha $ on the mass-radius relationship. Furthermore, we compared our results with astronomical observational data. Our research offers a new perspective, proposing that in EMSG, accounting for anisotropy could lead to denser stars than in isotropic scenarios.

Contrastive learning has emerged as a prevailing paradigm for high-level vision tasks, which, by introducing properly negative samples, has also been exploited for low-level vision tasks to achieve a compact optimization space to account for their ill-posed nature. However, existing methods rely on manually predefined and task-oriented negatives, which often exhibit pronounced task-specific biases. To address this challenge, our paper introduces an innovative method termed 'learning from history', which dynamically generates negative samples from the target model itself. Our approach, named Model Contrastive Learning for Image Restoration (MCLIR), rejuvenates latency models as negative models, making it compatible with diverse image restoration tasks. We propose the Self-Prior guided Negative loss (SPN) to enable it. This approach significantly enhances existing models when retrained with the proposed model contrastive paradigm. The results show significant improvements in image restoration across various tasks and architectures. For example, models retrained with SPN outperform the original FFANet and DehazeFormer by 3.41 dB and 0.57 dB on the RESIDE indoor dataset for image dehazing. Similarly, they achieve notable improvements of 0.47 dB on SPA-Data over IDT for image deraining and 0.12 dB on Manga109 for a 4x scale super-resolution over lightweight SwinIR, respectively. Deep models have achieved significant process on single image super-resolution (SISR) tasks, in particular large models with large kernel ($3\times3$ or more). However, the heavy computational footprint of such models prevents their deployment in real-time, resource-constrained environments. Conversely, $1\times1$ convolutions bring substantial computational efficiency, but struggle with aggregating local spatial representations, an essential capability to SISR models. In response to this dichotomy, we propose to harmonize the merits of both $3\times3$ and $1\times1$ kernels, and exploit a great potential for lightweight SISR tasks. Specifically, we propose a simple yet effective fully $1\times1$ convolutional network, named Shift-Conv-based Network (SCNet). By incorporating a parameter-free spatial-shift operation, it equips the fully $1\times1$ convolutional network with powerful representation capability while impressive computational efficiency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that SCNets, despite its fully $1\times1$ convolutional structure, consistently matches or even surpasses the performance of existing lightweight SR models that employ regular convolutions. Accurate depth estimation under out-of-distribution (OoD) scenarios, such as adverse weather conditions, sensor failure, and noise contamination, is desirable for safety-critical applications. Existing depth estimation systems, however, suffer inevitably from real-world corruptions and perturbations and are struggled to provide reliable depth predictions under such cases. In this paper, we summarize the winning solutions from the RoboDepth Challenge -- an academic competition designed to facilitate and advance robust OoD depth estimation. This challenge was developed based on the newly established KITTI-C and NYUDepth2-C benchmarks. We hosted two stand-alone tracks, with an emphasis on robust self-supervised and robust fully-supervised depth estimation, respectively. Out of more than two hundred participants, nine unique and top-performing solutions have appeared, with novel designs ranging from the following aspects: spatial- and frequency-domain augmentations, masked image modeling, image restoration and super-resolution, adversarial training, diffusion-based noise suppression, vision-language pre-training, learned model ensembling, and hierarchical feature enhancement. Extensive experimental analyses along with insightful observations are drawn to better understand the rationale behind each design. We hope this challenge could lay a solid foundation for future research on robust and reliable depth estimation and beyond. Images captured in poorly lit conditions are often corrupted by acquisition noise. Leveraging recent advances in graph-based regularization, we propose a fast Retinex-based restoration scheme that denoises and contrast-enhances an image. Specifically, by Retinex theory we first assume that each image pixel is a multiplication of its reflectance and illumination components. We next assume that the reflectance and illumination components are piecewise constant (PWC) and continuous piecewise planar (PWP) signals, which can be recovered via graph Laplacian regularizer (GLR) and gradient graph Laplacian regularizer (GGLR) respectively. We formulate quadratic objectives regularized by GLR and GGLR, which are minimized alternately until convergence by solving linear systems -- with improved condition numbers via proposed preconditioners -- via conjugate gradient (CG) efficiently. Experimental results show that our algorithm achieves competitive visual image quality while reducing computation complexity noticeably.

Large amounts of incremental learning algorithms have been proposed to alleviate the catastrophic forgetting issue arises while dealing with sequential data on a time series. However, the adversarial robustness of incremental learners has not been widely verified, leaving potential security risks. Specifically, for poisoning-based backdoor attacks, we argue that the nature of streaming data in IL provides great convenience to the adversary by creating the possibility of distributed and cross-task attacks -- an adversary can affect \textbf{any unknown} previous or subsequent task by data poisoning \textbf{at any time or time series} with extremely small amount of backdoor samples injected (e.g., $0.1\%$ based on our observations). To attract the attention of the research community, in this paper, we empirically reveal the high vulnerability of 11 typical incremental learners against poisoning-based backdoor attack on 3 learning scenarios, especially the cross-task generalization effect of backdoor knowledge, while the poison ratios range from $5\%$ to as low as $0.1\%$. Finally, the defense mechanism based on activation clustering is found to be effective in detecting our trigger pattern to mitigate potential security risks.

Face super-resolution is a technology that transforms a low-resolution face image into the corresponding high-resolution one. In this paper, we build a novel parsing map guided face super-resolution network which extracts the face prior (i.e., parsing map) directly from low-resolution face image for the following utilization. To exploit the extracted prior fully, a parsing map attention fusion block is carefully designed, which can not only effectively explore the information of parsing map, but also combines powerful attention mechanism. Moreover, in light of that high-resolution features contain more precise spatial information while low-resolution features provide strong contextual information, we hope to maintain and utilize these complementary information. To achieve this goal, we develop a multi-scale refine block to maintain spatial and contextual information and take advantage of multi-scale features to refine the feature representations. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms the state-of-the-arts in terms of quantitative metrics and visual quality. Image deblurring continues to achieve impressive performance with the development of generative models. Nonetheless, there still remains a displeasing problem if one wants to improve perceptual quality and quantitative scores of recovered image at the same time. In this study, drawing inspiration from the research of transformer properties, we introduce the pretrained transformers to address this problem. In particular, we leverage deep features extracted from a pretrained vision transformer (ViT) to encourage recovered images to be sharp without sacrificing the performance measured by the quantitative metrics. The pretrained transformer can capture the global topological relations (i.e., self-similarity) of image, and we observe that the captured topological relations about the sharp image will change when blur occurs. By comparing the transformer features between recovered image and target one, the pretrained transformer provides high-resolution blur-sensitive semantic information, which is critical in measuring the sharpness of the deblurred image. On the basis of the advantages, we present two types of novel perceptual losses to guide image deblurring. One regards the features as vectors and computes the discrepancy between representations extracted from recovered image and target one in Euclidean space. The other type considers the features extracted from an image as a distribution and compares the distribution discrepancy between recovered image and target one. In recent years, the use of large convolutional kernels has become popular in designing convolutional neural networks due to their ability to capture long-range dependencies and provide large receptive fields. However, the increase in kernel size also leads to a quadratic growth in the number of parameters, resulting in heavy computation and memory requirements. To address this challenge, we propose a neighborhood attention (NA) module that upgrades the standard convolution with a self-attention mechanism. The NA module efficiently extracts long-range dependencies in a sliding window pattern, thereby achieving similar performance to large convolutional kernels but with fewer parameters. Building upon the NA module, we propose a lightweight single image super-resolution (SISR) network named TCSR. Additionally, we introduce an enhanced feed-forward network (EFFN) in TCSR to improve the SISR performance. EFFN employs a parameter-free spatial-shift operation for efficient feature aggregation. Our extensive experiments and ablation studies demonstrate that TCSR outperforms existing lightweight SISR methods and achieves state-of-the-art performance. In this paper, we improve the challenging monocular 3D object detection problem with a general semi-supervised framework. Specifically, having observed that the bottleneck of this task lies in lacking reliable and informative samples to train the detector, we introduce a novel, simple, yet effective `Augment and Criticize' framework that explores abundant informative samples from unlabeled data for learning more robust detection models. In the `Augment' stage, we present the Augmentation-based Prediction aGgregation (APG), which aggregates detections from various automatically learned augmented views to improve the robustness of pseudo label generation. Since not all pseudo labels from APG are beneficially informative, the subsequent `Criticize' phase is presented. In particular, we introduce the Critical Retraining Strategy (CRS) that, unlike simply filtering pseudo labels using a fixed threshold (e.g., classification score) as in 2D semi-supervised tasks, leverages a learnable network to evaluate the contribution of unlabeled images at different training timestamps. This way, the noisy samples prohibitive to model evolution could be effectively suppressed. To validate our framework, we apply it to MonoDLE and MonoFlex. The two new detectors, dubbed 3DSeMo_DLE and 3DSeMo_FLEX, achieve state-of-the-art results with remarkable improvements for over 3.5% AP_3D/BEV (Easy) on KITTI, showing its effectiveness and generality. Guided depth map super-resolution (GDSR), which aims to reconstruct a high-resolution (HR) depth map from a low-resolution (LR) observation with the help of a paired HR color image, is a longstanding and fundamental problem, it has attracted considerable attention from computer vision and image processing communities. A myriad of novel and effective approaches have been proposed recently, especially with powerful deep learning techniques. This survey is an effort to present a comprehensive survey of recent progress in GDSR. We start by summarizing the problem of GDSR and explaining why it is challenging. Next, we introduce some commonly used datasets and image quality assessment methods. In addition, we roughly classify existing GDSR methods into three categories, i.e., filtering-based methods, prior-based methods, and learning-based methods. In each category, we introduce the general description of the published algorithms and design principles, summarize the representative methods, and discuss their highlights and limitations. Moreover, the depth related applications are introduced. Furthermore, we conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of some representative methods based on unified experimental configurations, so as to offer a systematic and fair performance evaluation to readers. Finally, we conclude this survey with possible directions and open problems for further research. This article deals with the limit distribution for a stochastic differential equation driven by a non-symmetric cylindrical $\alpha$-stable process. Under suitable conditions, it is proved that the solution of this equation converges weakly to that of a stochastic differential equation driven by a Brownian motion in the Skorohod space as $\alpha\rightarrow2$. Also, the rate of weak convergence, which depends on $ 2-\alpha$, for the solution towards the solution of the limit equation is obtained. For illustration, the results are applied to a simple one-dimensional stochastic differential equation, which implies the rate of weak convergence is optimal.
